Dr. Alex Zylstra, D.C.

Dr. Alex Zylstra is an experienced chiropractic physician who has spent over 20 years helping patients improve their posture, mobility, function, and quality of life. He is passionate about identifying the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction so patients can make meaningful progress instead of simply chasing short-term relief.

Dr. Alex’s passion for chiropractic care began through personal experience. Growing up, he watched his father struggle with chronic pain and limited function after a failed back surgery. Later, after being involved in a head-on car collision, Dr. Alex experienced chiropractic care for himself. The results changed the direction of his life and inspired him to pursue a career focused on helping others find hope, healing, and better function.

Dr. Alex earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States Health and Sciences in Portland, Oregon in 2003. He has completed extensive postgraduate training in the Pettibon System, which uses pre and post X-rays to help evaluate structural changes in the spine. This background shaped his focus on corrective chiropractic care, helping patients work toward improved alignment, better posture, and long-term spinal health.

Dr. Alex takes time to listen, understand each patient’s concerns, and explain care in a way that is clear and practical. Whether someone is dealing with neck pain, back pain, headaches, poor posture, limited mobility, or chronic discomfort, his goal is to help patients feel heard, educated, and confident in their treatment plan.

After practicing in Washington state for over 20 years, Dr. Alex and his family are excited to call Idaho home. He is grateful to join Balance Point Wellness and serve patients in Caldwell and throughout the Treasure Valley.

At Balance Point Wellness, Dr. Alex shares our mission of helping patients overcome chronic health issues, restore energy, and improve their overall quality of life. His experience, compassionate approach, and dedication to corrective care make him a valuable part of our team as he helps patients move better, feel better, and take practical steps toward lasting health.
